The vast majority of the print production work I've done in the past twenty years has been the typesetting of books for publication, including children's books and textbooks. But in that time I have also designed business cards, posters, flyers and other promotional items, and assembled newsletters for distribution and album art for compact disc and LP packaging.
I began my career working in the prepress departments of offset print shops, and this has given me a keen sense of the technical and practical aspects of print.
This sense for the material side of print production (things like paper size and quality, image and colour reproduction, print deadlines, workflows and more) has proven to be very helpful for my clients. Publishing is by nature a business reliant on the cooperation of many individuals, requiring well-executed processes. As a client, you can rely on me to deliver the work reliably and punctually.
